Fashion show for a cause radisson blu in Delhi

Delhi fashion event is being organized with a motto of raising funds for kids who are suffering from cancer. Smile Foundation and cancer aid society.

A commercial activity is generally seen to have grounds in profit but for a change exotic business solution thought of initiating this idea.

Can’t we just share our bit with people who need money more than us? More for life?

Smile foundation and cancer aid society will locate the funds collected for the kids. Dr. Harshvardhan (Health and welfare minister), Smt.Smriti Irani (Education minister) and many more well known people would be attending this event.

The show will be held in Radisson blu on 28th September 2014.

While on campaign for donation collection, a young attendant at a famous coffee shop asked me about what are we doing?

I told him, it’s about charity for cancer patients.

He took out a note of 500rs and said, that’s not enough but I can do this much. I cried with joy I guess that’s more than enough, way more than enough. Long live humanity.

I guess it’s not about the amount of money you donate but the depth of humanity in you that matters.

Hate Story 2 Success: Glamour or story?

The Bollywood analysis suggested that the sizzling hot number ‘pink lips’ starring Sunny leone and the erotic love scenes would do wonders for the movie.

The movie hate story2 had hit theaters on 19th of July and is successfully running in theaters. Starring- Sushant Singh, Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.

After watching hate story2, I realized it’s a good movie, it has an interesting story to engage audience, Thriller, suspense and perfect climax. Unlike the monotonous hero centric stories, this was an exception.

The Villain of the story, Sushant Singh’s acting was best amongst all.

Hate Story 2

But After the success of the movie, what is to be credited more? The story or sizzle?

Definitely the two factors of glamour attracted the audience but that is not the only reason for its success. Any film can get grand opening on such basis but surely cannot run tremendously well on single pillar.

The song ‘pink lips’ was inserted in the film, with no relation to the story or the scene. It was rather annoying that an item song was disturbing the story.

Everyone was waiting for another revengeful murder and all of a sudden a song, Is it that the makers feel we like item numbers with no sync?

Does our choice purely stand on the sensual X factors?

There is no harm in liking the sensual scenes or the item numbers but the manner in which the item songs are inserted in the movie it gives me a sense that these are the dozes given to the audience by makers as if audience craves for them.

I crave for entertainment; I crave for a good story only “kyunki baba kehte the film story se hi chalti hai”.

Youth: Upcoming Face of India

Youth the “Power of Nation” or we can say “Future of our Nation”. Youth is the joy which came out from the egg and eagerly waiting to spread its wings in the open sky of hope and freedom.

It is age of discovery and dreams. India is the country which has the largest population of youth. People are eyeing, India to be the source of technical manpower in future.

Youth is full of energy and determination to do something for the nation. And I think it is the right time to take stand.

Youth is like clay. It mold, as it is desired by the people. So it is the duty of the elderly people to guide in the right direction. Our older generation becomes hardened in their thinking.

So they face difficulties in adopting new ideas or path. Whereas young people are never so rigid. They modify or adopt the ideas according to the demands or the circumstances.

So I believe youth of India should take responsibility on their shoulders.

It is always seen that younger generation has always been depended upon the older generation. Our social set up did not allow younger generation to think independently the way of life they want to live.

But now it’s time to mould the thinking of older generation and prove them that we have power to change the present scenario. I don’t understand that why elder people don’t understand, that it is only the young people who can seize the opportunities for doing something for the country.

If they have given proper opportunities than they can give proper shape to polices which have been worn-out and out-dated.

Youth hopes for the country which is free from discrimination on ground of caste colour, language and gender. A country free from poverty, unemployment, inequalities and exploitation of man by man.

Let us be unite and convert these hopes into reality. If Indian youth make up their mind to do something they can hold power in their hands.

Fashion Boom In India

Fashion is the prevailing style, custom or a popular style of clothes, hair, etc. of a particular time or place. A popular way of behaving and doing an activity also constitutes fashion. The business of making or selling clothes in new and different styles is also fashion. The fashion industry embraces both clothes made by individual designer for a small and wealthy clientele-also known as haute culture and garments produced on wider commercial basis-sold in high street shops, chain stores, departmental stores or by mail order. India’s fashion heritage is rich in its tradition, vibrant in colours and extremely attractive in look and style. In fact, Indian fashion varies from village to village and city to city. The country’s ancient fashion garments generally used stitching although Indians knew sewing also. Most of the clothes were ready to wear as soon as they left the loom.

The changing fashion has resulted in the hem-lines of skirts moving up and down over the years. Before the Second World War and even some decades later, the length of the skirt that covered upto the knee was considered obscene. However, towards the end of the century, the length shortened above the knee.
The present-day youth are in the haute culture of wearing mix of western and Indian trends because of coming up of sprawling call centres, BPO centres, IT parks, mega markets and mall culture. Perhaps the setting up of the multinational company’s offices in India is one of the reasons of fashion boom in India. Men’s fashion draws a lot from films. The young boys not only imitate the glamour of men’s clothes but also their hairstyle. Fashion designing offers vast opportunities for learning the skills from famous institutes like National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Pearl Fashion Academy (PFA), etc. Many Indian universities offer diploma, graduate and postgraduate courses in fashion and cosmetic designing. Such learning helps improve the creative skills and provides a cutting edge technology in designing.
The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) holds the fashion extravaganza to offer a platform to the exponents of Indian fashion industry and to give them right opportunities for displaying their skills and marketing their creations to the outside world for a high profit. With the evolving fashion and style and the changing face of Indian retail, our consumers are gearing up for a rapid transformation. Their spending too has been on the rise. Most of the organised retail businesses have reported an increase in their sales and consequently higher profits.
Good designers should be genuine, practical and give incentive in making the custom made outfits, designer dresses and costumes. The maker should create ideas according to the seasonal changes-winter, summer and spring. There should be an attractive combination of traditional, modern, local and foreign-creating every possible wearable product-and providing a wide range to the consumers.
The media plays an important role in the fashion boom. Various kinds of fashion magazines provide latest designs and styles in colour photographs along with details of stuff used, measurements, price range, shades available and the places from where they can be used. TV programmes give live telecast of major fashion shows conducted not only in India but also in all parts of the world. These programmes provide a good look at the fashion world in all the seasons so that the people can make their own choices while shopping. The stars shown in flamboyant dresses make an indelible impression on the consumers. This accelerates the fashion industry and enables it to prepare to compete with the best in the world. Fashion has become such an important part of the present-day world that even in colleges there are frequent ramp shows for boys and girls.
Fashion industry in India is now facing a tug of war between the designers for copyright protection although there are imitations by some designers from other designers’ work. There should be strict law to prevent such copying. The other important requirement is to ban shows and telecasts of such shows which show nudity in the name of fashion. Besides, there should be legislation against consumption of dangerous medicines like autorexia and bulimia which some models consume to remain slim. Fashion designing is a creative art and it should be promoted as such.
