GURU

GURU - This one word has such a vast, such a deep and such a profound meaning that it is very difficult for any person to elaborate it. No language in the world has the capability to translate it and no amounts of words have the capacity to explain it.

A teacher, a guru is needed in every phase of life, from beginning till the end. In this world we cannot do anything without the help of a teacher.

The teacher may be necessary for a second or for a year or for many years. If we want to learn music, at the beginning we have to go to a musician. If we want to learn how to dance, we have to go to a dancer.

If we want to learn about the sciences, we have to go to a scientist. In order to learn anything in this world, we need a teacher at the beginning and the end and of course the in between journey would be so incomplete and squandered. Quoting the words of K. Patrica Cross,

"The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate 'apparently ordinary' people to unusual effort. The tough problem is not in identifying winners: it is in making winners out of ordinary people."

When you are with a realized Master, you are bound to feel that the Master understands you; and not only that he understands you, but also that he has
the capacity to comfort you and help you in your problems. We hear wonderful stories about some masters who can walk on water and do all kinds of great things.

Nobody is born a teacher. And yet everybody is a teacher. Nobody can be a teacher without becoming a student first. Teaching can only be imparted post learning. But, with increasing time the process of teaching and learning becomes more complex. A teacher needs to evolve with time and should keep in view the changing trajectories of a pupil's thoughts.

Moreover a teacher-student relationship is highly complementary. A teacher also learns from a student and that is the most critical element in the development of a teacher. But the real power of the teacher is to transmit power and knowledge directly.
